Chinese Garden in South Dakota

"Good price with delicious food. There was a regular customer who ordered 10 egg rolls as a appetizer and that was his usual order. I already got my food at that time and got shocked by the amount of the food on the plate already, so I didn’t add an egg roll to my order. I am still curious about the taste of the egg roll and willing to try if I have a chance to get back to the place."

"A gem in the middle of nowhere. We stopped in Lemmon on our way to Valentine as we were feeling very hungry from the car journey, but quickly realized all restaurants were closed, in fact we planned to eat at The Olive Branch Bakery nextdoor, but that's how we stumbled across Chinese Garden. We ordered 2 wonton soups, 1 spicy szechuan chicken, 1 spicy mongolian chicken, 1 spicy szechuan beef, and 1 spicy mongolian beef. They served good oolong tea which warmed us up and made us feel cosy. The portions are big and the food arrives quickly, the server was very friendly and helped us pick from the menu, and gave us extra tea as well, which we really appreciated. I really enjoyed the food (spicy mongolian beef) as the beef was tender and the vegetables (onions, broccoli, carrots) were well-cooked and still crunchy. The sauce was also very tasty, but not really spicy (so if you don't like really spicy food, it would work well for you!). I also enjoyed the calm, cosy and familiar atmosphere with no harsh lights or sounds, just the sound of tv news in the background. Thank you so much, I hope I could come back one day, but sadly I don't know if I'll ever have the chance to be back in Lemmon!"

"For a very remote, small town the food here is top notch. Owners are very friendly, going out of their way to make customers feel welcome. Tend to come around to all the tables when a fresh batch comes out of the kitchen. Not a large variety of foods, but everything tastes good and fresh. Building is a little run down, but very clean and inside is maintained nicely."

"We love this place! We spend our summers near Lemmon and eat here often. The owners are such wonderful people! The food is always good and the portions are huge. We always have enough leftovers for lunch the next day. If you leave here hungry, that is your own fault! Prices are decent. The owners greet us like family."

"The lovely lady who helped us was very kind and attentive. Tea was hot and good. All of the food was delicious and in generous portions, expect lots of leftovers if you have a smaller appetite. I loved the vibe inside of the restaurant. I could've sat and had tea for hours. Try the kung pao beef with fried rice. I will definitely be back."
